Old Melky just aint what he used to be minus the juice. Poor devil.

If I was the manager , I would bench him for the rest of the game. Eight runs down and he is out by ten feet at second. Inexcusable.

A good curveball is awfully tough to hit. And Clay has a great one.  He looks like the best pitcher in the game right now.

Drew is starting to get in a groove.  His swing looks so good.  Just remember, he missed almost all of ST.  No one will be asking for Iggy in a few weeks except the Drew haters.  The guy is a good player!

Yeah. No way Drew hits .160 all season. Hes a .270-.280 type guy. He'll be awesome at the bottom of the order if he can get back to that level.

I don't know how the Sox will end up this season but I love the make up of this TEAM.  So different from the last two years.

After all this time dealing with pike, its nice to see a different kind of fish giving a positive contribution to RSN!

Where was the criticism of Andrewmitch last year on the gamethread?

Where was it? Id ask where were YOU? There was criticism of him all over the place last year. I lost count of how many jokes I told about that. Speed up your wifi pike, or ask your neighbor to boost his signal so you can get a better connection.

I have FIOS with a download speed of 50 Megabites per second.  Andrewmitch ruled the gamethreads last year. He was accepted and enabled by the forum regulars who came here for conflict, arguement, player bashing, and the personal insults and adolescent behavior. He is not here this year along with many other trolls and thus the gametread is suffering. Woe to those who come here to be optimistic and happy since that is deemed to be boring.

Ok, that explains it. Your connection is so fast you can see into the future, and know that the forum will soon collapse. Thanks for the heads up, but like Terminator's "Judgement Day", it cannot be stopped. The forum is on its last leg.

After the Celt's game tonight , Jason Terry referred to Kevin Millar's statement " Don't let us win tonight " etc.

Sox are going to have some hard decisions when Breslow and Morales are ready.  Mort has no options, Miller has looked good his last two outings, Wilson has pitched well.  Who goes?

Not too original but let's hope it has the same result.  I hate the Knicks!

Wilson goes to Pawtucket. Will be interersting to see what the other move is.

The gamethread will be revived as soon as the Sox lose two in a row or the trolls dig out other bits of controversy.  A Sox player might complain about Sunday night games on ESPN and that should be fodder for a thousand posts or a a Sox player might look up towards the sky after hitting a HR. It doesn't take much for the forum regulars to start threads that are much ado over nothing.  Melba toast and black coffee in the morning must be supplemented with some trolling. Then on to Judge Judy and  Kelly Ripa.

    Judgement Day.

    In response to youkillus' comment:

Jays starter Mark Buehrle had to choose to live with his family or without his dog. Seems Ontario has a ban on Pit Bulls. Buehrle chose to live without his dog, and comes home to an empty house in Toronto. Meanwhile wife, kids and 4 dogs live in the states, 800 miles away. Strange choice.

The Marlins owner told Buehrle to buy a home in Miami (and he did).  Three months later, he was traded to Toronto.   That is so messed up.   LOL
