Let's hope our four and five starters are better than the two and three guys. Beckett and Buchholz are showing nothing.

If there is a silver lining...the Sox are hitting today...just a question of who keeps it up!  At least I get the feeling that they are in this game today!

You don't get to first base faster by sliding dummy. I can't believe major league players are stupid enough to do that. Dumb play Nick.

Why does't Remy comment about not sliding to first? Those guys are so generic.

Nice to see the home run by Gonzalez.  Hopefully, the Red Sox can maintain the lead and win today.  It is going to depend on the pitching for the remainder of the game.

Re: Game Thread 3: Red Sox at Tigers

p.s.  I never fault a guy for sliding into 1st.  If you've ever played ball, logic goes out the window when you are really hustling out a possible infield hit.  It's ridiculous to get on a guy for hustling!  Instinct takes over, & your body takes over!  It happens!  To bust a guys balls for HUSTLING is absurd!

You can't bust the guys for "having no heart," & then get on them when they show it big time!

Re: Game Thread 3: Red Sox at Tigers

we need pitching big time. this is just sad, i have said so many times that buch is not a proven numebr 3 starter. I really hope beckett and buch pitch better the time out. back to back terrible pitching performances is not a good sign. 7 er runs for both beckett and buchholz. thats brutal. But hey, forget trading for gio gonzalez or cahill, lets just sign aaron cook and a bunch of washed up players to fill the holes. great strategy. go cheap on pitching again, get terrible pitching again. imagine that.
