Except for our SP, I like this lineup vs Pettitte. We should be able to score some runs; unfortunately, as devastated as the Yankee lineup is, I think they will have no trouble scoring off Dumpster either.

Dempster can be solid if his groundballs are working tonight.

Dempster would not have been my first choice of who to sign this past winter, and his history vs the Yankees would have been one reason for that, but we should ease up on the Dumpster nickname until at least he plays a game for the Sox....he is on our team and we need him to do well.....and for all his faults the two things I am sure he will do that fans will like is 1) he will work quickly and 2) he will pitch alot of innings, thus saving our pen......we dont need him to be Cy Young, just a 4.50 ERA....200 innings.....quality starts and we have no reason to call him Dumpster.

Hope we can sweep. Not too crazy about the pitching matchup.  Not sold on Dempster.

Agree. It was a good idea. Cervelli got lazy and if Victorino had 1 more second, he would have been safe.

    Victorino's attempt was worth a try...Pettit wasn't covering home.

Wow, nice, quick release by Ross followed by a nice snag by Iglesias. That was pretty to watch.

So cool having Ross back there.  After all the years of watching guys take advantage of latter-day-Tek, Salty et al, he is someone that guys must respect.  No more shine box Brett.

Always like to see aggressive play. Sometimes it does backfire. Might have been better to slide feet first. The spikes would have made Cervelli think about diving in there.

Had to exspect the Yankees to score some runs. Dempter Just needs to keep us in the game to the 5th.

First mistake by Farrell. Should have walked Overbay and went after Cervelli. Percentage move.  We paid the price.

Well, they can't hit into a double play every inning. Sooner that stops, the better.
