Ellsbury sometimes gets criticized for the uppercut swing but none other than the great Ted Williams always advocated it. Obviously Ells is no Teddy Ballgame but trying to hit the ball on the ground is not necessarily a good idea. Even with Ells speed, how many infield hits is he really going to leg out? Just my opinion. -
