Crawford is a walking disaster. How many balls have been hit over his head this year?

Agreed. It's a good idea for him to try and slap the outside pitch into the deep shortstop hole. Those kind can be beaten out. Very few guys are able to get out of the box as fast as Ichiro. That is why he gets so many infield hits. But he sacrifices power as a result.

I've been wondering that for years.  It will probably take another Steve Yeager like incident for it to finally happen.

Nice clean inning. Keep the pitch count down. Would like to see Lester go at least seven.

like everything else joel, it's probably driven by money. lester needed that quick inning to balance the pitch count. 60 thru 4

Lowrie loafing on the wind blown pop-up "double".  Crawford looks like he's crashing off of HGH. Ellsbury finally got a westerly wind 18 MPH aided pull down the short line homer by flailing off his back foot. His homer total is up, which makes his agent happy on career presentation FA book he's building, but his BA and OBP are embarrassingly low for someone with that kind of speed. He'll set a career record on strikeouts if he keeps that reverse pivot uppercut swing for the fences thing going.

Lester doesn't have his best stuff, but Salty has those magic fingers working today.
