    That's a start but he has a ways to go.  Hitting in a close game would help.

    Peter Abraham reported today that the Sox had a large group of players taking optional early batting practice. Maybe that helped.

    .208 average, .231 OBP.  I'd say that's lost at the moment.  Don't get me wrong, I want him to hit but he needs to step it up.

    Maybe all that lettering on Salty's back is making him top-heavy and affecting his play.

    .208 average, .231 OBP.  I'd say that's lost at the moment.  Don't get me wrong, I want him to hit but he needs to step it up.

     



    I think it's safe to say that in the past week Will Middlebrooks has stepped it up
