Yes, i am too.  Kinda excited to see Lackey out there today. I hope he comes out on fire, so the fans can get behind him and support him again,  if he comes out and lays an egg, it may be a long season for him.  Go sox!

Wow, Lackey just got away with a meatball right over the middle of the plate to Encarcion!

I believe that was the most important inning of the year........92-94 mph. The year is off to a great start.

That 2nd pitch to Gomes looked to be right in his wheel house.

The home plate ump is really squeezing Lackey with a very tight strike zone.

It's early, but Lackey looks GREAT!  Cy Young contender great.  Big samle 6 batters too  :)

He really does look sharp.  Keep it rolling Lack........

Anyone else notice how energized Remy sounds.  Of course after last year it's not that so surprising.

Sox hitters have had some extra cuts due to that overly tight strike zone.

How many other GM/manager combos have 3 capable shortstops battling for playing time at SS.  Drew, Iglesias, Ciriaco, is an ideal quandry.

Say what you will, but putting one of the best #2 hiiters in the #3 spot in the lineup is a big mistake.  I love Pedroia's grit, but batting #3 calls for an entirely different approach than batting #2.

I say leave him in the #2 slot, and until Papi returns, plug Gomes or even Middlebrooks in the #3 spot.

what?! WMB in the 3hole?? no way. he Ks too much. unless you move Jacoby out of leadoff no one on our team right now is better suited for the #3 spot than pedey. we just have to deal until Papi returns

Happ is throwing strikes. He knows the Redsox will try to work him. We are lucky to have gotten him to throw over 60 pitches so far. His fastball doesn't look that hard to hit but we aren't hitting it. Time for a HR for us.

    JBJ up next inning.

The moronic fans chanting "Farrell, Farrell" are the same ones who think  that their city actually has a professional hockey team....
