great win by BRUINS, J-BAY. only negative for BOSTON is that that the power play is still powerless.

Yeah, a little disappointing,  especially on the 3-minute. But I'll  take a 3-0 road win Game 1 an day.

    Not really.  His 9 starts.

    • 5.0 IP 3 ER
    • 5.0 IP 2 ER
    • 6.2 IP 3 ER
    • 6.2 IP 3 ER
    • 3.2 IP 6 ER

    • 6.0 IP 2 ER
    • 6.0 IP 1 ER

In a starting role, he has had only one bad inning this year.  Two ground ball singles, a walk, a bases-clearing 2B by Beltre, and the RP allowed one more.  Take out the one bad inning, at Texas, and his starting ERA is ~ 3.50.  Obviously you can do similar exercises with other SPs, but if continues the pattern above for the remainder of the year, he'll be quite a bit > .500.

Bruins and Red Sox both won tonight.  Indiana is about the win game 6 which also makes me very happy.  I really dislike Miami and always like to see them lose.

Always great to see the Heat lose.  It would be great to see them lose the next game.  Not sure it will happen but it would make me very happy.

Miami and James annoy me.  Real superstars don't try to accumulate a dream team.  Bird never left, Magic never left, Jordan, Shaq, all these guys won with what they handed.

Plus, I love watching Hibbert play.  Dude is a beast.  You can't cover James, but all the guys on Miami look like skinny kids compared to Hibbert.  The Pacers are the blue collar guys at this dance.

That's all I want.  Just get a couple of good ABs.  Eventually he goes down, but I want him to leave thinking that he is starting to get the hang of it.  And that he contributed in some small way.

Overall, counting all the innings he has pitched so far, Doubront's ERA is 4.88, which is aweful. He pitched a pretty good game tonite, but overall, he has been painful to watch.

We are using a year of control, out of the 5, this year anyway. Might as well trade someone as JBJ can play. He's ready.

I really don't know how this night could've ended any better. Bruins win and Cooke gets tossed. the Pacers win and the refs finally grow a pair and hit LeBrat with a Technical foul. Finally and most fittingly Nava whose last plate appearence the night before ended on a sour note with Barksdale calling him out on strikes with 2 out of 3 strikes questionable, he answers by just hitting the ball where ever and as often as he could ! Yankees just got Nava'd...11-1 for the good guys!

I agree Joe, (about Hibbert, the Pacers) but to include Shaq as one of those guys who hung in there and won with the team he was drafted by couldn't be further from the truth.

He fled Orlando for tinseltown (and Kobe) pretty much for the same reasons Labron went to the Heat.
