He's settled down like you would expect an established pitcher. He's coming back from injury and slow starts from established pitchers isn't uncommon. One bad pitch in the first inning was costly, but the way he's pitched since then shows a lot. -

Well, I think we may be able to put a few fears about Bucholz away for now too. Other than one mistake to Scott, he was very good today. Rebounded nicely, and some of you may remember that this is what he couldn't do in his younger days. He stuck with it, got it under control and got it done. Get him a W now, put 4-5 on the board in the 7th. -

That's what you gotta like about Aviles. He couldn't get the clutch hit with the bases loaded, but he stays with it and comes through in another inning.

So I don't understand why they keep putting the Papi shift on Gonzo when he's notorious for hitting the ball the other way. -

papi is mangling the shift this season. hes hitting the ball the other way almost every at bat.
