Been watching this team all year and it is a way too streaky team to win in the playoffs unless everything goes right. When they do not hit they all go corpse cold. AGON is way too streaky too. He pounds the hell out of Texas a week ago and then takes two series off. Carl Crawford was the terror of Tampa Bay and I have no idea what happened to him this year. I really hope that I am wrong.

Posted by AL34[/QUOTE] definitely a head scratcher, IRT the Yanks and Sox offseason, as much as i respect AG, Crawford was the game-changer for me...

To make things a little more interesting, wild card wise , James Shields is shutting out the vaunted Rangers offense , on his way to yet another complete game.

o fer 6 in scoring, as bad as the Bruins power play.. what gives Dave Madagan?  maybe Yook should be in the 8 or 9 hole to get his swing back?

Come on. Youk is only 2 for 15 since he's come back. The whole team is a joke. After today, they will have lost 4 games in 5 days to the Yankees.

And over the weekend in TB, the Red Sox get Shields, Neumann and Price against Moe, Larry and Curly.

I am so glad those two days last weekend due to Hurricane Irene helped.Since that time its looks like we went ahead and read our press clippings and went into "Relax Mode". Agon is becoming a victim to the low and outside pitch and needs to adjust to that. I cannot believe that he had more Home runs with San Diego last year than he is going to have with our team and this potent offense compared to San Diego !

Keep your worthless statistics; they were overinflated in a great July.  This team is not even close offensively to the Yanks or Rangers.  Unless Pedey is streaking there isn't a Rh bat.  Papi the only one with clutch history.  another single with noone on for AGon.

I agree...both Carl Crawford and Adrain Gonzalez are long term obsessions of Theo Epstein, who handed them ludicrous contracts
