Andrew will be here to bash Darvish since he is living up to his contract amount - underperforming.

I don't mind him staying as long as he accepts a big pay cut. Its time to start rebuilding, and we need some of the money he is getting paid to use elsewhere.

Yeah, I saw the interview, more than once. Not having a good time here, use to be fun place to play blah blah blah. End of the day, he and his family are entrenched in the community. He would never be as beloved anywhere else. He wants to end his career in Boston.

    nice inning

[QUOTE]This is word for word what Andrewmitch said last night. He had other things to do but once things go South for the Red Sox he runs back to his computer at double time. Hey Calzone: if I want to get out for my sunset run before the game is over, should I apply in advance to do so or otherwise risk the ire of True Fan Police here?

Papi just doesn't like the talk radio, columnists, and forums that create the DRAMA. He likes the area. Solution is to stop tuning into the talk shows, reading the sports pages, etc.

Pumpsie, you can predict with high probability when Andrew will show up or not. Many think it is comical. Totally predictable. He won't be here tonight. This is not policing - just observation.

Daniel Bard update, for those interested: had a string of six scoreless outing in a row broken (ie no ERs; one outing had an unearned run) broken when he allowed two ERs on Aug 4. All of his outings have been of the one inning variety. Nine K's in 7 innings during that time period. Things are getting a little better for him.

Calzone, Andrew comes and goes as he pleases. Just like anyone else here. Why does it matter to you if he is here or not? When you are here you should try to enjoy it regardless of who is here. Doesn't that make sense? You cannot control when others come here, only when you do so.

Been following him. Slowly but surely getting better and better, more like the Bard we came to know and love. Scary, he just lost it like that.

He had some help losing it. They asked him to change his mechanics ostensibly to improve his chances of converting into a SP. That screwed him up. I don't know if he has changed his delivery back to what it was or if he kept his new release point, though I suspect the former. I would keep him at Pawtucket all year.
