Crap, and I was just about to say it looked like Lester had a nice curve going tonight.

Well, so much for the good start and good pitches. "Where did this come from" Don? From where every other BOMB has come from that this staff is serving up.

Is it too early to bring in Bard?

"Very uncharacteristic of John Lester...." NO, it's not. He does this on a regular basis. How is it that he's got this rep of being a great pitcher when he has games like this on a regular basis, and almost never pitches well in a big game that the team really needs?

Lester is no better than a fourth starter. Hope he enjoys the chicken in the clubhouse

This is why I would like to see Bard stay in the rotation. Everyone complains about the pen , but the starters have been brutally bad. The new guys , Doubront and Bard have been better than the so-called big 3. Lester staked to a 3-0 lead. All gone by the 4th inning.

How about Bard stays in the starting ro bring up Cook to start, get Dice K back, put Aceves in to start, & throw some of these "aces" in the pen.

Its like Lester looses concentration, but what is maddening is that he does it with two out. Two bad pitches trying to blow it past two hitters.

Looks like he's ready for Sox rotation.

This team can find a different way to loose a game evry night. That was just a rediculous inning. I wonder if its Saltamachia calling for thise pitches. No way Varitek would let him throw a meatball like that.

problem is AL, one night the pitching is there, but no offense. Offense or no pitching or if and when both, no bullpen. Cant win consistently that way

Beckett and Lester threw plenty of meatballs with Tek catching.

No catcher ever calls for a meatball, right down the middle. A pitcher without command is not going to be successful , not matter how good his stuff may be.

Why do the owners, GM, past GM, Mgr, and the players get all the blame but our Pitching COACH gets NONE?
