Boston Red Sox (85-58) @ Tampa Bay Rays (78-64)
John Lackey (12-11, 6.11) @ Wade Davis (9-8, 4.50)
Lackey has a 12-5 career record against the Rays (with a 3.81 ERA) but is 1-1 against them this season with a 4.38 ERA in two starts. Lackey lost his last outing against Texas. Wade Davis has never beaten the Red Sox, going 0-2 in four starts with a 11.12 ERA against the Sox. Hopefully that portends success for the Red Sox, who have lost 7 of their last 10.

I see we are picking up right where we left off in Toronto and with Texas. Lackey suc#ks as usual, cannot believe we spent 85 miilion on this clown and we have three more years of him. Great job Theo on the free agent market. Would have been better we had gone after a great pitcher like Sabathia in 2009 instead of throwing away almost 100 million dollars on Lackey and Cameron. Forgot about Carl Crawford and the 20 milion we spent on him this year as well.

This ballclub is in freefall. Way to hustle , Lackey. Youk back in Boston again. Bad hip. Bedard with him. Bad Lat. Tito says it's not a major problem. Rays playing with energy and confidence. Sox need another rest day. Don't be negative though, folks.

If Lester doesn't beat Shields on Sunday, this team will be in complete collapse mode. I believe Wakefield is scheduled to pitch on Tuesday.

The Rays are going to be right back in it while spit and chew makes excuses when he needs to kick them in the rear end. He defends these guy way too much.
