What?  You want Lackey to walk the park?  Let's hope not!  Tongue out

I got a bad feeling about Lackey today.  A lot of hard hit balls in the first.  Or perhaps the bad feeling is just from the McDonald's I had for breakfast a few hours ago.

I've got the Angels feed going, and my boy in the booth is lulling me into a coma.  Oh, how I miss Don and Jerry.

Two pitch outs in a row.  You don't see that every day.

Well, that was better.  I guess if they don't hit the ball, they can't hit it hard.  :)

Gotta love that.  Okay, I'm heading out.  Trying to watch both the C's and Sox and type.  Did it last night with the B's game.  Need a rest.  Back later.

Mistake by A-gon to go to second on that grounder, for sure, but Lackey needs to stop reeming out teammates when they make a mistake.  As if he (Lackey) never makes any.  A-gon looked at him like, "excuse me?"

That is aggravating. Somebody needs to tell him to knock it off.

Hey Jete, how are you.  Good to hear.

Sox making the arduous climb out of a deep hole early in the season.  Pretty good to see them getting close to 0.500 after 0-6, and 2-10 record.  Batting still not there yet, but what a job this rotation has put together.  Can't think of a 5-man rotation to do this kind of turnaround from absolute pitiful performance to near sublime in such a short time.

This is going to be a great year for Sox nation, I can sense.  Yanks are going to do well too, they are going to make it into the playoffs.  Rays are a wild card in the East (not in the making it into the playoff sense, but what to expect from them this year).

Exactly. Errors and misplays happen. I don't see any lack of hustle . No excuse for showing up a teammate like that.

Missed the first half of the game but it looks like they're doing well. Didn't expect Lackey to be "hangin' an egg" (no Easter pun intended) at this juncture against his former team but it's nice to see.

Just a matter of time with Crawford. The guy is a very good ballplayer. Sometimes patience is a virtue, although hard for us Sox fans to understand at times.

Re: Game Thread Sox vs. Angels Lackey vs. Palmer

This guy, Young, must be a fantastic pitching coach.  I was pretty pissed off at the beginning of the season, missed Farrell so much with the 0-6, and 2-10 start.  But this guy has truly done a magnificent job with this rotation.

Next to work on the BP, except for Bard and Paps.  Even Bard bombed big time in the first game, but has reverted to his best self after that.

Young does have a strong, and long track record with the A's.  I should have been patient with my expectations when the starters were throwing the games away.

THE TWO WORST "GETS" OF THE DECADE FOR THEO, IF
YOU LEAVE OUT WILY MO PENA ARE:
    MIKE " GROUND-OUT " CAMERON &
JARROD "CAN'T HIT A LICK" SALTALAMACCHIA
WHY THESE TWO GUYS ARE ON A MAJOR LEAGUE SQUAD IS
BEYOND REASONING. BOTH CAN'T HIT THE BROADSIDE OF
A BARN AND THEY BRING DOWN THE WHOLE TEAM. AS IT
STANDS NOW, THE SOX HAVE NO CATCHING AND NO OFFENSE
AT THAT SPOT. I HOPE THAT BY THE ALL STAR BREAK THEY
    ARE GONE...BUT THAT'S ASKING TOO MUCH !!

If I'm his teammate, I grin and bare it.  The guy is lights out today.  I have never heard his former team complain about him.  On the contrary, Scioscia was just quoted as follows:

The feelings will never leave for what he did for our club,” Scioscia said. “This guy was a lead dog and a big part of our championship season and when we won the division and moved on to the playoffs. He just left a huge imprint on this organization.

“He’s in a different uniform and a different dugout, but no one’s ever going to forget what he did for this organization. He’s a big reason for any of the successes we’ve had over the course of the last 10 years now.”

Scioscia has never been accused of being shrinking violet.  He says what he means.  Do you perhaps have some inside information to counter this?
