can't believe they didn't give him that home run. can't believe they don't have a standard down the line angle that is the one used for such determinations.

Fascinating stuff about the bow ties. Who cares about the game anyway.  These guys are great.

    Stabbed by Foulke.

With no less than SEVEN posts about this game its clear that interest in the Red Flops is peaking. Too bad the fans showed up to watch at the park.

I hope Xander B. is OK....the sound reminded me of Tony C. getting hit.....terrible.  Thank God for that ear flap.  When I played, helmets were just coming in.  They were like a novelty.

I love it when I see this 24 year old rookie trot out to let the 34 year old veteran pitcher that he's leading with his elbow, or something of the sort!

Time to shut Koji down for a few weeks; maybe the season. He's totally worn down.

Farrell really needs to have his head examined...an ex-pitching coach??  All he's thinking about is himself and not the welfare of his players.

If I were Koji, I'd sign with a different team next year.  That is, if his arm is still attached.

At this point in the season, losses are not all bad.  As Ken Rosenthal wrote in his column today, if you are going to lose, lose big.  High draft pick, more pool money, more international signing money.  Plus, the draft pick is protected even if QO FA is signed.

i think it's fair to say that the team's usage and/or lack of trading Koji has been a mistake. if he's lights out next year, it was just the usage. if he's mortal, it was both.

Is anybody objecting to Breslow being burnt out last year?  I certainly am not.  Sox won a title, in part to how Breslow pitched and how much he pitched.

Koji has thrown 10 2/3 innings in 22 days this month.  That is not exactly a heavy workload. He just didn't have it tonight. Plus, there were a couple of bloop hits.  That is not the manager's fault.
