Easy does it, Bill.  He's a 21 year old catcher in the bigs for the first time.   He's also 5'9" and 195 lbs, not the ideal physique for a catcher.  But he sure can throw and hit, and so far his pitch-calling ain't too shabby.

More interesting are Abraham's tweets on Bogaerts and Ortiz, both of whom are struggling at the plate.

I watch most Sox games on mlb.com, which is where you can get mlb tv.  Not for free of course.  But when I hook up the laptop to the TV, the picture is better than the one I used to get from NESN.

Actually, I think he has the perfect physique for a catcher...strong and solid..built for durability.

Wrong; it's an ideal build for a catcher! Go back to Al Lopez, Gaby Hartnett, Bill Dickey. Re/the Ortiz comments, he needs about a week off. Go fishing or something. Every AB I think Williams' wait-wait-wait---quick, quick, quick. Big Papi is NOT waiting; hence the rollouts to RF.

It's the right way to go, though. He's just off the DL, from hamstring and back issues. Better safe, than sorry. Last thing he needs, is a set back

Would be nice to score  enough to give Lackey a margin for error.

I'd try and buy him out of his contract and send him home.  We don't win w/o him in 2013 and he'll be a legend forever in Boston but he's got no future with us.  None.

Now if only Sox can continue this batting performance in all the games for rest of July, they might be able to get within 4-5 games of division lead, and make it interesting in August.  Perhaps shedding AJ was the key.  Must have done that sooner.

Eleven hits in four innings.  A few weeks ago that was three games  A J must have been real bad voodoo. We should have given him to the Yanks.
