Without coming out and saying it, #RedSox seem to be auditioning Betts as 2015 CF. Lots of OF decisions to come

Bradley got demoted on Sunday night after going 2 for 3 with a walk. Farrell said #RedSox weren’t seeing what they wanted in his swing.

I doubt that very much. Makes no sense to trade someone simply because of the position(s) he plays. Good field, no hit, or good hit, no field? Maybe. Not this 21 year old with this kind of track record. No way.

Batting Middlebrooks ahead of Bogey doesn't say much about Bogey. Maybe Betts s/b batting ahead of both of them.

It's quite obvious that MLB offensive stats are way down this year. There are 3 options available to cure this shortage.

    1) Find  better hitting ballplayers.          (Not likely)

    2) Legalize PEDS.                                (Not likely, but more realistic than finding better hitting ballplayers)

    3) Lower the pitching mound, again.               (Not Likely, but the best solution of the 3)

I'm not sure I agree with Abraham that someone has to leave. Holt can be the reserve infielder, leaving six spots for outfielders. Nine starters plus three reserve outfielders plus one reserve infielder plus one reserve catcher equals 14 players. Keep in mind that Nava and Craig can both play first base too, and that Craig and Victorino are likely to spend time on the DL. Many teams opt for 14 positional players and 11 pitchers. When one of Craig or Victorino is on the DL, they'll have an extra spot for a pitcher. To me, the bigger concern is finding enough at-bats for everyone if they're healthy. You can make arguments for all seven to start, but only three of them can have that opportunity (maybe four, if Holt receives consideration for SS or 3B, which is doubtful).

With all these strikeouts, we can save enough money on bats to buy a Cuban free agent or two.
