I wonder why they pay someone money to make the forum worse every 6 months?

Well, they pay congressmen, senators, and supreme court justices money to make the country worse every 6 minutes.

That's all part of the bread and circus. I think the people at boston.com are just plain old numb.

37, I sent this comment to Chris Rattey who is replacing Teresa Hanafin, the person formerly in charge of the forum I think this is one of the main problems here.

Thanks. I have been on this board on and off under a few different names for years and the design just keeps getting worse and worse.

Question, JBay - Could Bogie be a pike alter-ego? I'm guessing he has too good a sense of humor for that to be the case. He could also be a NYY mole.

No, I actually love the SOX, but this year I got sold a bill of goods by the SOX FO and I'm pizzed. I, also, love the BRUINS, a franchise that KNOWS what it's doing. By calling me a pike alter-ego, you're going to have to turn in your COLUMBO junior detective badge.

Chris asked what I meant when I emailed him about too much white stuff between quoted posts. I sent him the link to this thread as an example. I really think they are doing their best, but he is newly transitioning into the position. Hang in there! I will keep in communication with them until its fixed.

If you are going to tell that story at least include all the details. Here is the rest of the story.
After the game the HP umpire caught Girardi on his way back to the clubhouse and asked him this:

"Hey Joe, didn't you see that pine tar on Pineda's neck tonight or last time out on his hand"? Girardi said "No I did not, but I have an excuse: I have a glass eye". The ump said "Which one" and Girardi replied "Both of them".

Pineda is stupid I could see the stuff on his neck wondering when it would be noticed.

Going forward  he had better be clean and so should all of the RS pitchers.

Pineda used the well-worn safety defense. " I couldn't feel the ball and just did not want to hit anybody." Very considerate of him. What a nice guy.

The question is TWM, can Pineda pitch well, without it? He used pine tar in his first start in Toronto, his second in New York, didn't pitch well in the first inning of the third in Boston, then in the second inning in his third, looked much better, getting two quick outs. He not only embarrassed the organization, but defied them. Girardi and Cashman both said after the game, they had spoken to him about it, last time.

BOSTON – Yankees manager Joe Girardi said he's not expecting any sort of fine and has no regrets about forcing an ESPN camera to turn away from starting pitcher Michael Pineda after Pineda was ejected from Wednesday's game at Fenway Park.

"If I'm going to get fined for that, I'll have a real problem with that because I didn't do anything to hurt the camera," Girardi said.

Is this guy for real?  The camera is there for a reason and I have no doubt that ESPN has a right to use that camera in the way it was meant to be used.  I also have no doubt that joe shouldn't have messed with it.  I guess joe has to protect his ultra sensitive players!
