    Gamethread Saturday Detroit @ Boston

For those who don't have NESN or the MLB package, tonight's game will be aired by MLB.

Rumor has it that Farrell informed Lackey that if he didn't pitch better than Lester did last night, he would get a loss tonight.

Looking at the lineup the SOX have been marching out there game after game, it's remarkable they're only one game under .500. I guess it reflects on how workman like the pitching has been. And I'm not even talking about the left side of the infield.

Fortunate the rest of the division is stuck in neutral, too

If the rest of the division stays stuck in 'neutral,' the SOX may want to shift out of 'reverse.'

Good job to hold them to one run.  Last thing we needed was a big inning there.

    Stabbed by Foulke.

Sizemore, again, ran hard all the way. No one would have beaten that out. Kinsler tagged the runner right in front of him and threw from position to first.

Can you imagine Vin Scully playing with a puppet in the booth and ignoring the game?

    Stabbed by Foulke.

I could of sworn I heard Remy snoring a few minutes ago. Btw, how can you tell when the SOX have no chance of winning? Answer: when the other team has more runs than Ortiz has times at bat.

By giving up 2 runs Lackey has pretty much deprived himself of a win. Nobody's fault but his own.

You're a great fan, J-BAY. Btw, that wasn't Remy I heard snoring, that was me.

Well that was depressing. Joe Castig just pointed out that the Sox have yet to score in this series.

I blame Ortiz; he's not hitting HR's. He better get that problem fixed.

For the SOX to score, they're gonna need a balk or a wild pitch.

Wouldn't have mattered, though. Would have still turned two, more than likely. Play at first wasn't close

Ortiz has 2 more at bats, so the SOX still have a shot at a tie as long as Detroit doesn't score again.
