any time Sizemore is not in the line up; we've got a 50/50 chance to win.  How pathetic is that?

Orioles are starting a lefty, Chen, but it's still hard for Farrell to fill in a good lineup.  Recently, certainly since Napoli returned, he has stayed with Holt, Bogaerts, Pedroia, Ortiz, and Napoli for the first five.  After that, it depends on who's pitching, who on the Sox is ailing, etc.  Gomes is a good choice against a lefty start for batting 6th.  Pierzynski is OK for 7th, but then Herrera and Bradley are #8 and #9.  So who knows?

In last night's game thread I predicted Tillman, who was hammered (5 runs, 1 inning) his last time, would pitch well and maybe get a no-hitter.  I was being sarcastic, but Tillman only gave up 1 run in 6 innings.

Normally, usually these days it is safe to predict the Sox won't get many hits or runs.

5-6 games behind Division leader by AS break.  Doable with some help from Jays, and others, but still have to win a lot by then.

Rubby is still an unknown commodity with his 2-pitch repertoire.  So possible to pitch a tight game.

Still waiting for Sox bats to play to their potential.  Pedey and Papi were not clicking together during the 10-game losing streak, they started hitting at the same time during the 7-game winning streak, and now again they are not working in tandem in this current streak.  The 3,4 & 5 bats need to produce consistently.

That's a pretty sad statement about the sox bats.
