Since when a pitcher who started pitching at the age of 21 have been pitching in the league for 12 years at the same time he is suppose to be an ACE pitcher of the staff.

Name another pitcher who started approximately at the same age as Beckett are still an ACE pitcher in MLB after 30 years of age?

Wait until Verlander, Felix, Kershaw, etc all will get into the 30's, and see if they can still be an ACE pitcher of the staff!!

Re: Good job Josh..... 1st inning ERA.....10:42!!!!!

Your buddy softy should start a new "do the math" thread complete with game logs that show how our staff continually puts our offense in a hole by allowing so many early runs...
    112 games
Inn   some runs allowed   runs scored
    1       43  (17 w 3+ runs)   36  (7 w 3+)
    2       29  (10 w 3+)           38  (8 w 3+)
    3       35  (15 w 3+             39  (7 w 3+)
    1-3   107 (42 w 3+)          113  (22 w 3+)

Our offense has scored between 30 and 39 times in every inning between 1 and 8. Pretty consistent. Our staff has allowed 1+ runs per inning between 24 and 43 times with innings 1 to 3 being 3 of our worst 5.

Hey softy, what's our record after our starters/defense let up 3+ runs in the early innings?

    Do the math.
