How the heck Boston can trade two starting pitchers and get two new pitchers in return.

Every team have pitching issues, and they need pitching.  Giving them Beckett and Bucholtz may solve these other teams's issue, but they arent going to give Boston some pitching in return.  More likely bats!!!

That is why I do not think trading both of them would help Boston to be a better team

Buch to the PawSox and leave him there for perhaps the rest of the season; maybe come back at the Sept. roster expansion if it makes sense and slide Padilla into that spot ASAP. It's going to take him time to get his game together--he will be better for it.

Trade Beckett to a contender or wannabe contender that recognizes this guy is a big game pitcher that can seemingly turn it on when it's time and can help them win. The change of scenery is very important.

Needs a strong manager:Kirk Gibson or Mike Scioscia types.

How about Beckett to the White Sox for Rios. Exchanging bad contracts.

Beckett and Bryce Brentz to the Angels for Wells and Santana. Bad Contracts. I kind of like this trade--Wells would be more of a power threat, a PH, a RH DH and can play all OF locations well.

Beckett, Franlin Morales and Stolmey Pimental  to the Astros for Wandy Rodriquez and Brett Myers. It would be about the same $ amount and Brad Mills is familiar with these guys maybe too familiar with Beckett. Beckett would be close to his ranch might be an incentive--might draw some fans.

You cant trade beckett.  Besdies the fact that he stinks, hes a 10/5 guy.

My thoughts put him in the bullpen and leave him there unless absolutely needed...

There is no move that Cherrington can make that will make things any worse.

They have gone from terrible to abysmal.

There is no hope for this year's team in it's current form.

If changes are made , can things really get worse?

    I mean really?

So please, lets' get busy cleaning out the trash.

Start with Beckett. Then dump Valentine.

many businesses don't realize the impact that one or two bad apples have on the whole organization.they don't understand that everyone else is waiting for management to recognize the problem people and eliminate them.if you get rid of beckett, youk and any other head cases, the rest of the team will respect you,not to mention the fans and the media.

lardin---everyone is tradable. He wants out of Boston--the fans are upset, the media is all over him, it's questionable how much support he has with his teammates.

A change of scenery would be welcome.

Who ever thought Rios and Wells were tradable? The interesting thing was that two GM's made deals with the Jays.

I think the Sox could move Beckett and a couple of prospects to the Whie Sox for Rios and Gavin Floyd. or Beckett to Houston or to the Angels all would work.

If you insist on trading AGon--the Cubs, Brewers and the Dodgers and many others could be trade partners.

The Cubs have Bryan LaHair blocking Anthony Rizzo at 1b.

The Brewers are seriously unlikely to go after Adrian Gonzalez as a 1B when they decided before the season that Mat Gamel would be sufficient.

The Dodgers might be interested, bu also probably prefer locking up Ethier right now. The Dodgers might have interest in Youkilis, however, as the deal is much shorter...
