The Yankees already lost 94 homers during the offeseason from Swisher, Martin, Ibanez, Chavez and Jones.
Granderson led the Yankees in homers in 2011 and 2012.
Adam Warren hit Brett Lawrie leading off the second inning. I thought a brawl would start but I guess not.
I do not like the Yankees but I do not wish anyone to get injured like that.

Tough break for Granderson and the Yanks. We know that feeling all too well here in Boston.

Meanwhile, somewhere on a Yankee's chatboard, an angry fan is blaming lack of offseason conditioning and calling out dissenters of his erroneous assumptions for being organizational bootlickers.
For sure that is probably happening and Zac, NHSteven, DonPerkins, TWM, Georom, Enchilada, and Babe should be over there on those Yankee forums keeping them "honest". But yet they are here? Zac has an excuse since he is working 24/7 on updating his vast photo database of photos and doctoring them to insult the rival Red Sox players, staff, and fans on a rival forum. Now tell me, who is the obsessive one here? Yet the majority here loves Zac and company. The answer is obvious. The forum is loaded with Yankee fans who are visible or in the closet.
Sick em, Triumph!

Granderson got hit by a pitch, he got off easy compared to some others.
Can't figure out why there would be blamed involved. Freak accident.
He'll be back in May.

And where you should be is a subject for debate.

You're not very good with irony, Babe. Kind of like when you thought the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.

Granderson got hit in the forearm he is out for 10 weeks that means May.
Not like taking a ball to the noggin.
A lot of season left after May.

IMO, he stunk last yr; unless you like the Dave Kingman type. In the PS, Babe Ruth's bones would have made more contact.

Apparently, Granderson's bones made plenty of contact in the preseason.

i wouldn't say he stunk.... he didn't do good either. Hit a decent amount of HRs but had an abysmal BA and led the league in Ks.
i would expect a big season from him being in a contract year and all. If he can vut down those Ks

Well, I guess I'm wrong, but they both suffer from irony deficiency; hence, the mistaken identity. Not that I really care.

I was wrong about Ibanez; good memory. Now I'm Pike? On the surface, it looks like the RS had more injuries. NYY had there share, though: Rivera, Chamberlain, Pettite, Sabathia, ARod, Gardner, Teix, and so on.
As far as the PS vs Det, I doubt you'll ever find a NYY fan who would say "We should have won that series". They were lucky to beat Balt.
