    In response to BurittoT's comment:

Jose Iglesias tripled and scored in the seventh. Iglesias now has six extra-base hits this spring after having only 15 all of last season.

"The aggressiveness in the swing and the hard contact has shown up here the times he's been on the field," said Farrell. "It's been very encouraging."

As of yesterday the pitchers Iglesias has faced this spring had an average strength rating of 8.2 per Baseballreference.com where 10 is ML strength and 8 is AAA. I guess his stats of .237/.749 would ordinarily be encouraging if they were against ML caliber pitching and had a sample size that was meaningful rather than just 38 ABs. Lets see what he does after a full year in AAA ball.

    Bard throwing 96-97

Of all the tweets I think this is the most encouraging. If Bard can regain his form it would be just huge. Then all we need are two good SP and we should be in the hunt again.
