Looking forward to see how Dempster, Tazawa and Bard do today. Also hope Iglesias continues to improve his offense.

I like Farrell's business like approach. Also Lester and Buchholz have a great deal of respect for him. Under Farrell, Lester and Buchholz had their best years in the big leagues.

I believe Doubront can be a solid back of the roation pitcher with Nieves and Farrell guiding him. Look at Doubront's inconsistency last year which was frustrating:

Felix Doubront held third-place hitters to a .183 batting average and .644 OPS. Ninth hitters, on the other hand, hit .322 off Doubront with an .893 OPS.

it's exciting to see all of starters are having healthy and strong spring training so far.  Dempster looks good today again.

I agree; starting pitching looks very good.

Dont forget the Sox had no consistent message from pitching coaches last year.....guys were there and they were gone....Bobby V didnt like them.....and then he did.....plus the Veterans on the team were in turmoil themselves......very tough on a young guy like Doubront.

I agree. It is so refreshing to have Farrell and pitching coach Nieves.

He might have just pitched his way into the Pawtucket bullpen.
