figure, let's round up all the serious, old-timers here and then we can go back to having some fun on the other threads. Right now, I figure there's about 20 or so people who could join this thread on a regular basis...grumpy...old...men. I may join in anyway, seeing that I'm also a bit of an old-timer. -

Being a grumpy old man doesn't excuse your behavior and it really does make the forum a worse place. Imagine going to a wedding and everyone is telling the bride and groom that their days on Earth are numbered and that the divorce rate is 70%. Go ahead and put a wet blanket over the forum Cater since you killed the Portlandsoxfan Chat room all by yourself. Be proud of it. -

Actually, what makes the forum a worse place is a self-nominated forum cop. I don't post often, but I do check in and read the forums every day as one way to keep current on all things Red Sox, and you're act is really tired (you've made the daily game threads painful to read). Imagine going to a wedding, and there is one grumpy old sourpuss telling the bride and groom how they should behave and what they should say during their vows. That would be you. -

I don't appreciate a Yankee troll coming here to put up mocking pics of Sox posters. He's done the same to me. That would be a troll on any other team board. If he's not capable of carrying on an adult debate and uses negative pics to make his point, he's a coward and a bully. Since he's already run me off the board last season for posting about the Yankees, and no telling how many other Sox fans over the years, this guy is a troll. I think posters need to go to other teams' boards just to see what is/should be acceptable. It certainly isn't what Zac does here.
Sometimes it seems the biggest fans on this board are the fans of the Yankee fans here. -

I miss Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon, but only in The Odd Couple, Fortune Cookie and The Front Page. The others not so much. -

A reason to be a grumpy old man - finally got a Monster seat for this Sunday and Irene will very likely wash the game away with no opportunity for a make-up unless it matters in the standings. So much for crossing that off the bucket list.
I live in PA. What's the latest local word on the storm? I hear it could be a bad one in NE. -
