If we look at our beloved Sox, do we get value --- more often than not-?-- once the guaranteed contract is in the bank? Is this a disease surely to dilute or kill the national past time.? Why is this not the case in the NFL? The brightest ownership minds seem to be in the NFL. The NFL has millionaires, and deep competition. The NFL knows the value of the fan dollar, MLB sucked up to TV and corporate dollars, choking out the average fan and their family. Are the Sox victims of chasing the big dollar for guaranteed contracts, getting weak long term results?
