considering who he was traded for surprised they didnt pull the trigger! NYY could have got him easily. Then slid a-rod to DH next year or hanley -

seems like dodgers didnt give up much, 1 top 100 prospect (#96 according to BA) and a minor leaguer. makes you wonder what the sox could have got hanley for. -

Amazing how other teams barely give up anything to get star players. We give up star players and get nothing. -

Good trade, the Dodgers only need pay for two years and let him walk if he isn't any good. I assume he will be good enough though to back up Eithier in the line-up.Like I said about Elles, the same is for Hanley... any team will take them and pay a lot because they still have a year to re-trade the player if it doesn't work out. -

Hanley has regressed quite a bit. Let the Dodgers have him. -

If you think Hanley has regressed quite a bit, wait until the "dollywood social scene" gets their hands on Hanley. You will be seeing him more on Entertainment Today/Tonight and not on ESPN or MLB. Sure glad we didn't get this rich, young, naive, me first under performer. Our Red Sox have enough of these fat cat bums already. GO SOX! -

Say what we will, the Dodgers just got better. And for next to nothing. -

The Red Sox asked the Marlins about Hanley Ramirez before last night’s trade, but Boston’s interest was in acquiring the infielder and flipping him to a third team, Rob Bradford of WEEI.com reports. It sounds as though the Red Sox were going to flip Ramirez to either the A’s or the Dodgers, Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports (onTwitter).
