After 9000 posts that's the best you could come up with? I know more about baseball than you ever will. And what's your definition of a 'real fan?' A boot-licker like yourself?

And you've already changed your mind about the "1-5" road trip.

    Flip-flop much, Skippy?

No mr Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring,

I'm still sticking with my 1-5. Please point out the post where i 'changed my mind?'

My guess is that Torgo is sticking with 1-5 even if we win tonight.

Re: Here We Go Again, Red Sox Chocking

With post-season playoff hopes somewhat in jeopardy and seeming to fade, it’s easy to forget that the team that most pre-season prognosticators picked to finish last in the American League East currently is tied for first in the AL East, leads the Majors in runs scored and has the second highest team batting average and team OPS average and the fourth most stolen bases.

Unfortunately, the Red Sox also are 29th in saves, 23rd in WHIP and 17th in ERA. That’s somewhat surprising for a team being managed by their former pitching coach.

IF the Red Sox end the season by continuing their current streak of winning one out of every three games, and they finish no better than 85-77 (finishing 11-23 down the stretch) AND Clay Buchholz doesn’t pitch again this year, then maybe they’ll be considered a below .500 team without their best starter. But that still would be a 16-game improvement over 2012.

You are a pink hat dude. You think every lost means the season is over. You ignore that Sox had worst stretches in 2004 and 2007. In 2007 they went colded in September.

i had 88-92 which was among the most optimistic predictions from the BDC regulars during the offseason. i don't specifically remember anyone prdicting 95 wins but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.. more power to them if they did.

88-90 may be doable. Thats much better than I thought we could do (81 wins) and much much better than last year. We should all be pleased with the effort this year.

I doubt anyone did.  A srawman argument by Torgo.  There was another website where folks did that.  Accuse others of being pollyannas for predicting 100+ wins, when the only guy that predicted 100 wins, was one of them.

But like you said, if someone did predict 95, and I assume Torgo made it up, it's a heck of a prediction.
