hoping that we pass on KEVIN GREGG!

THIS guy is the classic overachieving jabro (in spurts).. no one exceeds low expectations than him. everytime he's been good has been due to noone expectinng him.. came out of nowhere in florida, ditto with the orioles and now ith the cubs. nevvevr great or even healthy in back to back years. headstrong, stubborn, loner, sullen weird.. are all terms associated with him. i live in bmore and they were doing cartwheeels when he left. u think ace is a tough personality, get both of them to walk thru the same clubhouse doors and someone will soon b taking hosatges. kinda like the pats, one or 2 troubled guys work.. start making it a pattern and the odds turn on ya.

plus i have  a feelin ortiz will not b too enthusiatic about it, still smarting from being thrown at, called out and suspended due to gregg in '11. also cant see koji too happy to see him again.. u couldnt get 2 more opposite guys together. gregg is beckett, gonzo and craw... we should have learned. his stuff will not transfer well to the AL east. likes to nibbble and fool people, drove showalter mad. theo apparently is eager to get rid of him for almost nothin (for a reason)... i would rather wait on perkins or Crain. get the real deal you can build around for years.. not just a one month quick fix who will start leaking before the playoffs and put a hole in your soul before the PO in the process!

I haven't been a big fan of Gregg's but withMiller gone for the year the Sox  may have a need for some set up people and Gregg might be the closer to allow Ue to set up.

if he's the solution we need a new question.. now way is he the solution as a closer. much rather have bailey close with this jabro at best a temporary upgrade over tazawa (7th inning guy).. we need a lefty power arm to repl miller. do we hae no lefty starter types in the minors a la hagadone?

LOL, I haven't heard that word in years!  My dad used to use it, he died in 1991 so it's been a while.
