Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Exactly who is Crow T Robot and why would anyone use that as his moniker?

    A kid?
Exactly what is a Pike and why would anyone use that as a previous moniker? Oh, I know. Because it's the ugliest fish in the river.
Actually, I know a family whose surname is Pike, and they're all pretty good guys.

It's also the name of a very elite school in MA.

Is that the best you've got, Amphole. Well, at least you're a consistent bore. Are all elitists as sleep-inducing as you? Surely, you've been asked this before; and, yes, I will continue to call you Shirley.

    Update: IQ max of 60

Out of curiosity, why do you relate success with being elite?  This would mean that you are a failure.  Or perhaps it's just your adolescent fustration?

How sad...but you certainly are the poster boy for thoughtless, simple-minded responses.  But don't despair!  Perhaps when you grow up you'll get a taste of success. You certainly wouldn't know, but it certainly feels good.  :)

What were you successful at? Curing people who had insomnia? Btw, Amphole, I don't relate success with being elite; I relate  being an elitist with being an A-WHOLE. Amphole-Awhole-see, it works.

That yazzer dude isn't funny.  Crow T must be Conan O'Brien/Triumph, a real ballbuster that's great at ruffling the feathers of the humorless.

I used to watch MST3K, and it was very funny.  At least when Joel was the host.

I've seen less humorous and more obscure references for names on this site...

MST3000 was, arguably, the best show in the history of TV. Mike Nelson, who replaced Joel Hodgson, was always the head writer for the show. I actually found Mike to be funnier than Joel. By cheesing bad movies, that show could have gone on forever; hell, they hadn't even gotten to the Tom Cruise catalog yet. They could have done a whole season with Cruise movies.

PS   After Comedy Central dropped MST, I refused to ever watch CC again. Screw them!
It was a awesome show.

    Case closed.

I wasn't a huge fan of Mike Nelson, though I knew he was the head writer.

It was a fun show, but let's not pretend that a show based on cheesing bad sci-fi and horror movies was a novel concept.  A lot of others had done it before, including El Vira, Svengoolie, and even Lenny Clarke if anyone remembers his late Saturday night show on WSBK.

MST3K was one the only one to do it while the movie was running that I can remember.

On a Red Sox note, their airing of "Manos: Hands of Fate" was an absolute classic.  I especially like during the close up of the mustachioed character when one ofthe robots yells out "Hey! It's Bill Buckner!!"
