Dr. FRGL27Rings: Good afternoon to my good patient on Red Sox: On the front burner. What seems to be your issues?
Red Sox fan: Well Dr. my beloved Red Sox haven’t won a legit championship in 95 years. But I fell for all the hype from the knowledgeable local writers who convinced me this spring that my Sox would win over 100 games and the 2011 Sox lineup would be better than the ‘27 Murderer's Row Yankees.In fact these writers anointed Gonzalez as one of the greatest sluggers in Red Sox history before he came to bat as a Red Sox. They also said Carl Crawford would follow in the Hall-Of -Fame footsteps of his left field predecessors, Williams, Yaz and Rice. And Bobby Jenks was the heir apparent to Papelbon. But Dr., the cruel reality is that none of these prognostications have come to fruition. Looking at this mornings standings and stats I see my beloved Sox in last place, 4 games behind those damn Yankees.
Dr. FRGL27Rings: I will say this my good patient. Patience is a virtue. Unfortunately time has run out for this session. Since your Sox show no signs of improving, your condition will not improve. Thus I recommend you make an another appointment on your way out.

Speaking as the most cynical and skeptical Sox fan on this forum, I would say Frank is a little premature on his assessment of this year's Red Sox team.
True about Crawford's slow start, but really, any Yankee fan who thinks this will last is doing some heavy wishful thinking.
Gonzalez appears to be the real deal.
There are a few issues, but this is no last place team.
It's only a matter of time before it all comes together. Whether it means a championship is still to be determined. But this group will make a move toward first place before the season ends.
