It is a slow day at the office, so

Call Miami and see if Doubront , Iggy, Webster and Ranaudo gets you Stanton.

Stanton is unhappy so what would get Miami's attention.

You will have to overpay but he may be one of a few that you would do it for.

Then see if you can sign him for 6 / 150 range.

Let me know what you think it would take to get Stanton and would you overpay for him.

It would take Ellsbury and his draft compensation, flipped to a third team, plus Buchholz, plus Barnes and Bogaerts and Brentz.

    J. Upton, coming off a bad year, is a much better value trade market acquisition.

Buying low : usually a good idea.

why give up your top prospects to get 3 years of J Upton when you can give up a few more prospects and get 6 years of stanton (who is MUCH better than Bad attitude upton)

to the point of the OP, it would take all of our top prospects plus all of our expendable assests flipped to a 3rd team for prospects and all of them too.

but it would be worth it. stanton is the real deal. and cost controlled. also under team control for 6 years. very unlikely he gets traded but you never know... crazier things have happened

Because I went to the Patriots game last night.  Due to exhaustion, I'm in "skim over posts and make a semi-relevant snarky comment" mode.  Just trying to survive the last half hour at work.

I dont even remember making the comment that you are referrencing.

Giancarlo Stanton remains under his team's control for four years (through the 2016 season).

not to mention there would be a long line of suitors for stanton.

    [/QUOTE]

If he was openly being shopped I agrea

Every team would get in line. I woulto have no

problem trading away three highly rated

    prospects and another plus

Othets to get a guy like Stanton.

Tell me what would you give up far Stanton.

I would imagine you'd have to start with Bogaerts, Barnes, and Bradley plus others just to get their attention.
