I thought the comparisons of Ellsbury to Ted Williams, later, Ichiro, were pretty spot on.

I have never heard those other than from you so I couldn't say.

Not a bad way to win real hard core Sox fans back.  Now the Pink Hats might even jump back on the bandwagon???

No matter!  It's going to be fun!

    Re: It's Official:

I know it was a virtual certainty, but the "Officail" news gave me that surge of hope for the entire season.  I've been pretty high on the season before this, but it could well be the key factor in propelling the 2013 Sox to a second place in the AL, and grabbing the WC!?!?

Gee, maybe they should have given him another number. What a bunch of has-beens and never-was.

Other than Jason Bay, I guess. Just before I was about to hit the button to post this, I noticed Bay's name.

Cabrera had the decent half season. Kapler was a decent fourth outfielder, and Danny Darwin had one really good year (15-11, 3.26 ERA). Other than that ...
