Lee? Stanton? A surprise player? Or nothing?

Would sound more like Stanton. Can't see giving up Bradley for Lee.

Pardon me for asking, I'm not super familiar with the Sox farm system aside from the biggest names. Who is Marrero and what position does he play?

When I first heard Bradley and Ranaudo, I thought Stanton, but I wasn't too sure.

First draft pick a year ago.   Highly rated prospect. Shortstop.

This sounds like Stanton IMO. I read that the Marlins would want an infielder (likely SS or 2B), an OF (to make up for loss of Stanton), and a pitcher (all prospects). I can't remember where I saw it.

They have Hechavarria at SS.  It's unlikely they'd want another.

Unless they want to trade him back to TO for the rest of their minor league system.

So now we can redirect the intrigue to preemptively villify the Red Sox medical staff as a "minor" elbow injury drags on.  Pumpsie-Green can lead the way.

All this trade deadline speculation can be fun , but it can also get pretty ridiculous.  All over in 18 hours.

Newest rumors say Sox are not in on Lee but are working hard on Peavy.  Which obviously could not possibly involve Bradley.

I don't envy the agent responsible for Peavy's travel arrangements right now.  They're probably holding flight reservations in ten cities.

Not a fan of Ted Nugent, neither his music nor politics, but I do like the name of the album.

Here's another album title pun I like as well.

Huh? Those Viagra commercials must really be effective (as well as the Viagra).  Consult a doctor it if lasts for more than four hours.

(By the way, how did you get that word past the censor software?  I had to erase the space to repost it. Answer quickly, as  this post and yours have a life as long a stiffy without the medicinal assistance.)

Perhaps the censorship function stops working after a certain time of day? I tried to write just now the the word for the male anatomical body part that discharges urea, among other excretions (hopefully not blood), and I couldn't do it.

I think I drank too much last night. Freud might have something to say about why surging penises were on my mind while reading a Red Sox message board.

Interesting to see these guys pulled but I don't see Bradley going anywhere unless its for a big RH bat.  It would probably be a Stanton or Pence type.

    Pence kills lefties!

Re: Jackie Bradley Pinch Hit For

Bradley for Pence would be a terrible trade. Pence is a nice player, not a franchise cornerstone like Stanton. If the Red Sox really want Stanton, I think they have the prospects to make it happen, I'm just not sure they want to deplete their AA and AAA depth to do it. Nor should they trade their top prospects for an outfielder. An outfield bat is the easiest to pick up via free agency and the Red Sox are a big market team. Just wait for the off-season.

Not horrible because the guy kills LH pitching and is a solid every day player but I agree.  If we trade another youngster, especially Bradley it better be for a kid like Stanton.  Giving up Iggy is one thing but no need to get older.
