He may very well be an All Star this year if he keeps hitting like this.

Wait a minute. How can this be? The geniuses in Atlanta and Texas couldn't wait to dump the guy, while that idiot Theo traded for him.

Speier must be looking at the wrong stats.

Part of the reason Salty is off to a great start is that he is facing RHPs 90% of the time instead of 68% like last year.

I think going forward he will be more valuable than Teixera, the guy he was traded for once.

Big deal, wasn't Mirabeli the holder of this title for a year too?

Matt Wieters, leave your glove at home during the mid-summer classic; the platooning Salty is replacing you.

Salty still can't walk and get a great OBP to save his life BUT!!!!! he has been a much better hitter overall.  I think he is starting to show some serious pop (his HR yesterday was almost a 500 Ft blast)  he could very well turn into a 30 HR guy.

But we don't need him to be a .350 + OBP guy  if he can learn to call a good game (which I believe he is doing much better as of lately)

Salty my be coming into his own now, and he would fit pefectly in the #6-7 hole with the power he is showing.

JMO..but laundry aside, taking a step back and looking at where he was..ie his career struggles/impatient orgs, this could be looked at as a long time coming..regardless of team..
