There a lot of people in baseball who said last season that the injury Jeter sustained in 2012 required a year of rehab.

    It appears they were right.

The Yankees are aging, with bones brittle as plaster of paris.

The Yankees are aging, with ligaments supple as dried rubber bands.

The Yankees are aging, with tendon sheaths as integral as a flattened radiator hose.

The Yankees are aging, with ankle joints creaky as antique casters.

The Yankees are aging, with rotator cuffs smooth as rusted ball joints.

The Yankees are aging, with quads reliable as old bungee cords.

The Yankees are aging, with calf muscles as intact as choice beef cuts.

Jeter and Kobe Bryant play for teams that I hate.  But both athletes will come back better than ever.

IDK Ice. Jeter is getting pretty old, and an achilles rupture is about as bad as it gets. I think they may both make it back, but the end is near and I dont think theyll be what they were.
