The bat before the HR, he just missed that one too, had a beautiful swing, but just got a little under it. Last thing, kudos to the fan and fans for not touching the ball Varitek hit, that could have cost us the tying run. Way to go to our FANS!

Before tonight's game, VTek was 8th in MLB with a .454 Slg% (.004 from 5th place and .009 from tying Salty for 4th)
Salty is 11th and Vtek 12th in OPS. As a team, our catchers are 5th in MLB catcher OPS (.770).

While it is true that jacoby's skillset seems more NL centered, the only reason the silly clown wants Jake in the NL is so that when he does exceptionally well, he can say his numbers are "inflated by the AAAA league". Or, he'll claim Dodger Stadium is a "hitter's park".
