    Re: Johann Santana done?

The Sox could have had Santana without including Lester or Buch. The final deal with he Twins included only B grade prospects/players.

There are no facts that the no no caused the injury. There is speculation that an ill advised throwing session this spring was the reason

You bet you are. And remember, when Softlaw says to avoid a player like the plague or Obama promising economic prosperity, pay attention.

For the record, I loathe Obama at least five times as much as you do, hes by far the worst President this country has ever had. Hes nothing but a rank socialist with dreams of imperial power. But I have no recollection at all of you saying any of that about Santna. Most likely because I wasnt even on the forum then, and didnt even know it existed at the time. Much of your ranting is as much a black mark on Conservatism as anything else.

"Total reconstruction" were the words I heard about his shoulder. Could be it for him at his age. Arent we all glad Theo didnt trade Lester for him now after 2007? That might have been the best move Theo made. NOT trading Lester for Santana.

I was thinking the same thing, Ex.  I am guilty of hoping we couild swing a deal.  I didn't want to give up Lester, though.  I had an extra three bags of balls that I woulda thrown in to make the deal.

If a throwing session this spring was the reason ... then there was an ijury ready to pop up.  "Ill-advised" - seems like the same snake bite that has tortured the Mets for a while.
