this is very strange to me that you hear nothing at all from theo or anyone
from the front office.john henry spent millions on this team and i can not
see them doing anything.it is time for coma to go and it is the players fault
he is to close to the players.coma is afraid to hurt someones feelings.
this is a buisness not a country club and something has to be done.
it is time for coma to go. -

as much as i'm not a fan of TITO'S and would not cry at his departure, the main culpret is THEO.
why this overrated GM is still employed is very puzzling.
here's a mind twister: decide which of THEO'S signings is the worst. this won't be easy. no GM in MLB has a worse track record for bad signings than the inept one. PLEASE FIRE THEO! -

Francona makes some bad decisions but he works with what he's given by Theo who makes recommendations to John Henry for the money to sign players that don't fit.
In several cases, Francona is trying to put a square peg in a round hole.

Very quite is not the word! This team is a disaster!!! TEK & WAKE should have
been retired a loooooog time ago. Theo obviously can't make any creative
moves, and Francona chews tobacco & seeds everyday, half asleep &
cluless. What a disgrace, to spend all this money and get these kind of
results is unconsciable!!! John Henry must bite the bullet & make some drastic
moves in order to save the season and the few good ballplayers that remain,
otherwise, the best thing that could happen to force J.Henry's hand is play
before an emty Fenway! Then, maybe J. Henry will get it! LouV -

SOXY JIM, YAZ AND DIAMOND TALK HAVE IT RIGHT ON THE MONEY.LET'S FACE IT. JOHN HENRY IS A BUSINESS MAGNATE AND NOT AREAL BASEBALL GURU. THE TEAM STINKS, HAS A GM WITH POORJUDGMENT AND A DO NOTHING MANAGER, YET NOT EVEN AN OUT-BURST FROM THE TOP !! THE STEINBRENNER CLAN MAY BE MEDIAHOUNDS AND CLOWNS [ IN SOX FAN OPINION ] ,BUT THEY DO GETRESULTS. AS MUCH AS WE HATE THE EVIL EMPIRE, YOU GOTTA ADMITTHAT THEY DO NOT SIT QUIETLY AND TOLERATE INCOMPETENCE FORLONG. DO YOU THINK TEK, WAKE, SALTY,SCUTARO OR CAMERONWOULD BE ON THE YANKEE SQUAD ?? SERIOUSLY !!! .200 HITTERS DONOT LAST LONG IN THE BRONX. BUT...SOMEHOW, 44 YEAR OLD PITCHERSOVER THE HILL AND .190 HITTERS FLOURISH AT FENWAY WITH THEBLESSINGS OF THE MANAGER AND GM. THIS MUST CEASE. ARE WEIN A CHARITY OR THE HARD NOSED WORLD OF BASEBALL ?? I SINCERELYHOPE IT WILL BE THE LATTER !!! -

How is Pedroia's current slump, Youk's unusually high strike out total, Crawford's early offensive woes, Gonzo's slow start, JD Drew being JD Drew Tito or Theo's fault? How is it Theo or Tito's fault when Lackey throws 2 stinkers after throwing 2 gems? How is it Theo or Tito's fault that Dice-K goes long stretches where he forgets how to pitch?
At some point, the blame has to be put on the players.
Theo put together a team that everyone thought was going to be the best team ever. All of the pundits were handing the WS to Red Sox months ago.
The lack of winning by the Red Sox lies squarely on the players. -

No, theo put together a team that the members of the rfn like spc the fanboy claimed was going to be the best team ever. Ditto for all the sawx fans at espn.

We're a weekend away from the quarter pole. If you liken the season to a horse race we're in a 4 horse tie for second place or last place 4-5 lengths behind the front running NYY. This is a race we should be winning. If management is quiet maybe they are thinking about making some changes. No doubt about the fact that we we're the chalk horse in the AL EAST pre-season. We haven't played like the favorite. Our jockey,T.Francona, is a veteran hand. He's having trouble getting his hands around this crew though. When the team is winning his shortcomings are masked by victory. When the team is losing those shortcomings are magnified by losses. Base running mistakes, on field coaching mistakes in sending runners, no visible signs of a defensive strategy in pitcher/batter matchups......oops sorry "T", I noticed you did shift for Jack Cust in one of the Seattle games and he promptly hit it through the vacated 6- hole. Actually "T" you've got to try more of this stuff. Don't abandon it because Cust happened to beat it once. -

I hope that makes you feel better about your last place team.
And, actually, the sawx were going to play in buffalo originally, does that really make any difference?

Henry has long seen Theo as a son. As long as Henry owns the Sox, Theo is not going anywhere, and if anything Henry will give Theo a nice new, big fat contract sooner or later. While Henry knows numbers, I don't think Henry can judge an employee's performance to good. -

1. yes it does make me feel better, thank you.
2. yes it does make a difference. the Boston Red Sox never were the Buffalo Orioles. (just so you know - if you are going to do something but then never do it...it never actually happened).... -
