Josh Buckett is a Disgrace and should be DFA'd.

Reading his crybaby tripe about how the clubhouse culture should never be known or explained to fans (that help pay his salary and root for him) was the ultimate in meatheadness. This ingrate should be shown the door. He is overweight, overpaid, and an embarrassment. I would rather win 85 games without this moron than watch him pitch for the Sox ever again.

A meathead like this, like Randy Moss, Manny, etc, will do himself in sooner rather than later. How long is Buckett going to last between Valentine & the Fenway faithful calling him out when he does his normal even year suckage?

I thought that you were a BB fan earlier today and applauded his signing of Randy Moss. A successful troll, like a liar, has to have a good memory. You don't.

Moss was given no extra chances.....when he acted up, he was gone...why didnt the sox do that to Buckett? He pulled the same stunt in Florida....

btw -  Moss was one of two greatest wideouts ever in pro football history...Beckett? Not even the best pitcher on his team...why are we keeping this salami again????

Beckett and his teammates on that Marlins team were all in their early twenties and you have been told this numerous times on this forum but trolls don't care about the truth, logic, or reason. Your vendetta is obvious trolling and everyone is aware of it. Give it up since you are making an azz of yourself with it. Andrewmitch, Softlaw, and Bosox1941 have all given up their acts so why not be a big boy and give up yours. Man up. Tito is gone, Theo is gone, Drew is gone, and Andrew has the BDC copyright to bash Crawford. So that leaves you to concentrate on bashing Beckett. You are so transparent.

Seeing the full interview on Intentional Talk, I was impressed with how well Beckett handled it.  He was honest and didn't dodge a single issue.  He doesn't pretend to be an altar boy, and is absolutely justified in saying that things should stay within clubhouse walls. It's so easy (and typical of the Boston media) to pick a few excerpts out of context just to cause a stir.

Having seen and heard this, I'm more comfortable that he will be solid, barring injury of course.  I don't think we'll be seeing the 2008 version of Pudge Beckett in a few weeks.

Maybe you should be dfa'd there's a reason all these leaks are given by people who don't reveal their name. It's because they know what they are doing is taboo. What about jacoby's comments that were along the same line as becketts? we get that you hate Beckett will you ever get that no one cares?

We're all entitled to our thoughts.
Mine are worth nothing...just as his are.

It was HIS choice to be interviewed.

Rather than just being silent while preparing for the 2012 campaign he bought into the propaganda of the Josh Beckett Story being more important than getting in shape and that what he had to say was really important.

Some players ego will sometimes get in the way of their performance.
I wouldn't miss him if he were not in a Sox uniform this year.

It effected his pitching so it should be made known to the public. He is a starting pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and should be in shape, supporting his team, not in the clubhouse having a beer. Sorry, but he is to blame for the media telling the story.

Are you freaking stoned?  He faced the NYY 5 times last year.  He went 4-0 and we won all 5.  He had a 1.85.

He faced TB 3 times and we won all 3, and went 2-0 with a 0.78.

He is the best clutch pitcher in BB by a wide, wide margin.

You need to either get back into the game, or give it a rest.

No hate for Beckett here, but not much respect either.  If he wants clubhouse hijinks kept in the clubhouse, not many fans will argue the point.  But when those hijinks translate to miserable sub-par performance on the mound that greatly contributes to a season-ending meltdown and squandering of what should have been a solid spot in the post-season - leaving Red Sox fans everywhere shell-shocked, then all I can say is he can thank himself for letting the clubhouse cat out of the bag.  How arrogant of him to use much of the interview to talk about being perturbed over clubhouse "leaks."  His comments about Valentine were patronizing at best.
