WEEI's Rob Bradford reported Friday afternoon that Kalish's latest injury issue is unrelated to the neck problems he went through during the 2012 season, calling the injury "an unspecified ailment.

Unless this is something that just arose, I don't get why so many teams and players wait so long to have needed surgery. Why not have it in October?
