See?  Now that's what I'm talking about! Great thread. Thank you.

This team just won a huge game, let's be happy about it.

Stop being afraid of what you may think is to come. Live for the moment and enjoy it.  When the Sox win the championship this year, will you be happy you were so cautious about the season?  Please.

Lackey was fine and more interesting to me is that CC's era vs. the Sox this year is around 6.50!

Are you suggesting that is why we won the game?  Anything can happen in a game, any game. Be happy. It was a great win.

And if, by chance, the season comes down to one game, which I don't believe in a million years it will, I will give this game the nod for it.

Unless, of course, there's another game where an unlikely winner outduels a possible Cy Young candidate between the two teams.

No I am not suggesting it. Lackey was fine. CC clearly has a problem pitching well against us.

Seriously what is up with CC's inability to pitch against the sox this season?  His ERA went from 2.55 to 2.81 in a game played in August after pitching every start so far, THAT is a huge jump at this point in a season.  I still think he is one of the premier lefties in the league but against the sox he looks like a journeyman number 5 starter.

I wonder if that question could be asked another way.  Like why is it the entire Red Sox team espically the line up, can seemingly play at a higher level in a game against CC and then be virtually shut down the next game by any average pitcher?

The answer to that one is easy:

    *That's baseball.*

To be safe, lets try to stick with a Lester vs Sabathia matchup come playoff time. Just have a hunch we are going to need it when it is money time.

Sorry Lackey, but it was a nice outing.

How does it sound that Sabathia is 0-4 against Boston this year?

    Sweet.
