Bump. In case TrotterNixon (and others) missed it. In case some haven't noticed the name of this forum is Red Sox on the front burner. Not stupid, useless juvenile political rants on the front burner.

Another place for a good time. I see ThatWasMe there all of the time. Camelwalk is a fixture there and  is under a new name now.

Luella Parsons was popular in the 1950s. How old are you? I don't remember her at all. Did you vote for McKinley?
One does not have to be old to have a knowledge of the past unfortunately unlike you pike I only have one life.

Carnie was talking about ragtime music the other day and that is three decades before Luella Parsons.  The music forum was abuzz yesterday with fans of Tommy Dorsey and Charlie Spivak. I told you people that we have many posters in here that live in assisted living homes. God bless them and I'm glad that they like the forum. Pass the Geritol.

I only recall Dear Abby but then I never researched who her predecessor was. Never had the time or inclination.
What difference does it make? You would forget it the very next day.

Dear Abby was a column created by Pauline Phillips with a pen name of Ambigail Van Buren offering advice on personal matters, Luella Parsons was the very first American movie columnist you dope.

    Big difference.

You're right. It wasn't Dear Abbey. Was it Hedda Hopper? I saw her as the gossip columnist in the opening moments of Singing in the Rain.  Great musical.

You would know. After all you marched with MLK jr.
