Lost Cause

The season was lost right from the beginning as the team was put together
with a bunch of AAA ballplayers! Ben C. has made NO movers, & quite frankly
he seems to be over his head. It's a complete disaster with Becket & Lester. Still,
NO moves , hoping against hope. God help us! This organization is PATHETIC, as
it will take years to have meaningful direction. The managment in place now, is
equipt to run a minor league club at best. Boston deserves better, but now we
are the laughing stock in major league baseball. The best thing that could happen
is that Fenway SHOULD be empty, so that management will wake up and start
making some sound decisions! Don't hold your breath!! What say you.... -

This was the right year to take a minimalist approach. The two biggest problems have been the underperformance of two former stalwarts, Beckett and Lester, and a plethora of injuries. This year patience is a virtue. -

The pitchers were failing in August of 2011 and I made note of it, but the offense was crushing opponents regardless. This is not some sort of blip problem, this is a mess and it has been a long time since things were right. -

why is this year the one that we should throw away? I have heard that more then once. Are the Red Sox going to be in a better situation after this year if they stand pat?????? What will be available next year to us? Another lengthy offseason of arguing with Papi if he will sign a contract? -

If Ben Cherington is NOT in over his head right now, I'd hate to see what that looks like. -
