    I wish Young the best of luck and wouldn't be surprised to see a club try to sign him at some point this season even after retiring.  A solid ballplayer and stand up guy that was the ultimate team player.

    Agreed.  Was shocked to hear that he was hanging it up.  I am POSITIVE some team would have signed him for a pretty decent contract at some point.  Stand up guy that played the game right.

    the dodgers have said they wanted to retain him and would have gave him a modest deal. his main reason for retiring was his children. His family still lives in texas and he did not like being so far away from them while he was in Philly/LA. He hung it up too early IMO but he's earned his time off. who am i or anyone else to say he shouldn't see his family....
