Re: Make 3 bold predictions for 2013 :)

There will be no predictions bolder than these.

    1.  The Rookie of the Year Awards will go to Leonys Martin (Tex) and Taylor Jungmann (Mil)/

    2.  The Angels, Dodgers, Yankees, Tigers, Rangers, Cardinals and Braves will all fail to make the post-season.

    3. The White Sox and Pirates will make the post-season...

    Red Sox make the playoffs

Buccholtz, Lester, Ellsbury and Middlebrooks are amazing. Three because of previous injuries and one because the ace is his for the taking and because Farrell is back.

Nationals go to the World Series since there will be no limits on players.

Farrell and his focus on team chemistry creates one of the best teams in Sox history with Shane being the new Johnny Damon. Remember the last time team chemistry was the focus?

Yankees will set the record for homeruns to right field. Is what field HRs are hit to actually a stat anyone keeps track of? Because if it is, they probably already have the record.

No pivotal player on the Yankees will be caught using steroids or PEDs no matter how obvious it becomes to anyone with an ounce of intelligence.

Oh, and MLB will use their new "testing" to out players on teams they don't believe will bring in a big enough audience in the World Series. :)

    2) softy admits that Republicans are .00001 % to blame for the mess we are in.

    3) softy admits he is not a lawyer but has always wanted to be like Perry Mason.

Bill, I honestly wouldn't expect any major league contrbution from Webster this year. The "book" on him is that although his sinking fastball is ML-ready ( and could even be better than Derek Lowe's; with more velocity), he needs at least a year to complete development of his other pitches in order to have the full Big League rotation-worthy arsenal.

Rubby DeLaRosa, on the other hand , merely needs to prove his arm/elbow's health or durability to be an immediate factor, either out of bullpen or even as a starter; the latter would be much assisted if / when his changeup becomes consistent.

    In response to Softlaw1's comment:

    1. Moonshemp admits he burned his draft card and went to Canada and admired Ho's treatment of the poor, women, same-sex sexual behavioralists, and the people of color and eye cavity shape

    2. Moonshemp admits he's a member of the same party as the Rosenbergs and Obama mentor Bill Ayers, and says, he, too, is a "communist", but with a small "c".

    3. Moonshemp admits that he owns stock in companies that use all Chinese labor, like Obama

    4. Moonshemp admits that he has never made a gift to the Bureau of the Public Debt to help keep the budget alive for entitlement expansion for the poor and unable and unwilling and jealous

    5. Moonshemp admits that Woodrow Wilson is the father of the unlimited power of the feds to tax personal income and the father of currency paper notes with a worthless federal promise, that FDR is the father of the American welfare State, that, just to get votes and win elections, JFK and LBJ are the fathers of affirmative action and federal identity politics in the private sector, Jimmy Carter is incompetent, Bill Clinton is a sexual predator who never balanced a budget until his party was thrown out of Congress, and that Barry Obama is a de facto Marxist who also suffered brain damage as result of years of drug dependcy and drug abuse to such an extent that, as de jure Commander-in-Chief, he reads "corpsman" as "corpseman"

    LOL.

    Some of your better work.

    Returning to baseball:

    1.  At least 8 members of the Sox opening day 25 man roster are not in the 25 on Aug 31.  At least 4 are not even still with the team.

    2.  Sox will have a top 3 finisher in the Cy Young, MVP and Comeback Player voting.

    3.  Josh Beckett wins 18+ games and both Gonzalez and Crawford are NL All-stars.

So this is your way of stating, yet again, in one fell swoop, that the Yankees are a bunch of cheaters playing in a little league park designed to exploit it. Got it. This is akin to Softy converting a recent thread on Stan Musial's passing (I assume you know who he is) into a political diatribe on the obit writer.

What I've been reading is that RDLR's changeup is ML ready right now, and might in fact be one of the better changes in the bigs. His slider needs work though as he seems to have trouble locating it. So what do you think? Does our boy JC Linares finally get a taste of the bigs this year? It would be pretty tough for him to hit any better than he did last year.

    1. Softy shall inspire Obama to waive the 2 term limit, ala FDR.

    2. In a bizarre sequel to the Francona tell all book, Bobby Valentine shall do the same, breaking his post-employment convenant with Lucchino, Cherington, et al.

    3. moonslav shall decide numbers are deceiving, and via anti-SABERMETRIC vitriol, shall going forward rely on other analyses, (such as scouting reports & visual apps) where none include numbers; except Wins & Championships. His pioneering work on this approach shall result in Bill James claiming this is "The Next New Thing", resulting in a Pulitzer Prize Winning Book, book tour, a long series of followups by him and a horde of disciples, and as a result have influence on how sports is looked at for thousands of years. In fact, in the year 252525 AD, they shall still be referring to year end retrospectives for every sport as the "MoonArchive", which shall be the telepathic rag throughout the galaxies, and recited by babies of all relevant species encompassing this large domain.
