    Mark Appel

The way the Sox are tanking they could be in the top 10 for next years draft, currently the 8th or 9th worst team in the MLB record wise.

If Appel slips in this years draft because the high picking low market teams can't afford to sign him, it would be interesting if the Sox drafted him. I know he's in college and all ready has big bad Boras as an agent, making him somewhat undesirable (in it for the cash), but there's not denying his talent and potential.

Other than that, the Sox picked a bad year to tank, the top projected prospects aren't the greatest.

They didn't last year. Though they have cleaned out some salary so they could be able to.

Appel no longer has the leverage of going back to school so signability not a factor.  Likely drafted by somebody higher.
