I'm just listening right now.  Is the pitcher's stuff that good, or are those crappy at bats?

Ya know we can put into text that we feel a 8 run inning, karma has changed etc. etc. but players need perform. Again 7 hits 2 runs vs. 4 hits 2 runs. We are, as we have been all Sept, not getting the clutch hits !!! Seems only way we can score is with homers.

Whom would you be most excited to see coming up & less excited and having less confidence. Ok, slam dunk, Ellsbury, Pedroia, Agon, Ortiz etc. but for the guy I dred  most is Crawford and I mean I'd rather see Tek, Salty, Drew, McDonald, Reddick etc. Really sad, mea culpa, but that's how I feel !!!

    Common CC...prove me wrong !!!

Guys, I'm an inspiring, 24 year old comedian living out here in San Francisco(odd choice for comedy, I know) I was wondering if I could run a joke by you all and see if it works.

    Here goes nothing...

So, Jarrod Saltalamacchia came up to bat, he didn't take 2 strikes down the middle of the plate, and then he didn't swing at a 3rd pitch way out of the strike zone...(and the crowd laughs hysterically)

I actually am a inspring comedian up here, and no, that's not my go-to joke.

Just what we need, another guy in the lineup that can't hit. I say either go after Reyes (which they won't) or re-sign Scutaro. I don't think Ilgeasias in the answer.

Now see, right there. Why don't the Red Sox do things like the bunting against the shift when there's nobody playing there?
In Response to Re: Monday Game Thread: Sox @ Orioles : The Red Sox offense has not been the problem. Iglesias is the future...great defense, some speed and he has the ability to hit .300   Put him in the 9 hole and let him save runs in the field
    Posted by thepeskypole6
I see it differently. The lack of consistent hitting has been a bigger problem than the pitching IMO.

Sox are making Baltimore's pitching look like Philly's.

Amazingly all these young pitchers in the mlb can hold runners at least decently and a veteran like Beckett has always struggled at it

In Response to Re: Monday Game Thread: Sox @ Orioles:
In Response to Re: Monday Game Thread: Sox @ Orioles : The numbers say otherwise. This awful slump is due to horrible pitching..Igleasias can match Scutaro offensively...or real close and will be ten times better in the field..remember the goal is run differential in a game...you can do it by scoring runs or by saving them
    Posted by thepeskypole6
As bad as the pitching has been, a key hit would have saved us from most of this mess. Tonight is a perfect example.
