Lackey wants to give it right back. What a shut down pitcher. He suc#s. Sciosia must be laughing at the Red Sox about us picking up Lackey and Carl Crawford.

THINK ABOUT IT.. u have becks, lester, and bedard (pitching tomorrow) all able to give quality starts for 6-7 innings. ur stuck with lackey as your loser 5th guy on non-off days. aceves makes it 4 deep line up. when buch returns in a week, u now can go 5 deep. frankly that debate about who will pitch in 6th or 7th is a straw man. wheelr/albers/morales are perfectly competent to do it when they have a 5-1 lead when doing it! worry about that when u get there, not relevant now. we cant even get to papelbon, one save in 5 weeks... how is the current strategy working out?

The way I see it, Aceves goes into the rotation and Buck takes his role as the 6 & 7th inning guy.

    Beckett
    Lester
    Aceves
    Lackey
Wakefield (off the playoff roster IF we make it)

Either Miller OR Bedard on the staff as your long man

    LH - Morales

    Short Relief - Unknown

    Set Up - Bard

    Closer - Paps

    Mop Up - Unknown

4-3 after one inning!  Makes one wonder where this is headed!  I don't care as long as the Sox WIN it!

I take a lot of pride in my math skills.  The over on this one is incalcuable.

This is torture.  I don't get mad easily, but this is interminable watching Lackey try to win a f'ing game.

Absolutely right. I have been arguing this for a couple of months. All you get is the same line about how he is too valuable in the pen. That is nonsense. There is nothing more valuable and important than starting pitching.

Amazing on Lowrie.  We have outplayed the other team in a lot of these one-run losses, but never get the key hiot with 2nd and 3rd with two outs.

We just keep playing bad baseball even when positive things are happening. DMac is the worst baserunner Ive ever seen.  He always makes mistakes on the bases!

Bogar's fault as much as McDonald's.   Let's hope we don't wind up needing that run.

Anyone notice the articles about Papi calling for Aceves to be in the rotation? He may be right, but that's not what caught my eye. What gets my attention is the idea that Fracona is losing this team. If the players are coming out to the media and making statements like that, makes me wonder where the leadership is. Know what I mean? Good to see the team hitting a little better so far tonight though. I'll give Francona credit for pushing the right button with Lowrie. That one I didn't see coming at all, as far as the 3r HR goes.

that was bogars fault, im not a huge fan of mcdonald, but it wasnt his fault on that one, he was running hard like he should have been and bogar obviously had a mental lapse there for a second

Scutaro is hitting .295. How does that rank among A.L. shortstops. Wasn't the forum ready to put him onto the next plane out of town earlier this year.
